Vilamoura won Boavista 3/12 to 1/12
Bom Dia Everyone,
It is my intention to write a short report on all our Interclub matches this year.
Hopefully you’ll find it interesting and will follow our fortunes throughout the coming season.
We have a great squad of players and will need everyone to play a part if we are to field a strong team and be successful.
After many delays , due to Covid 19 restrictions. Our first Interclub fixture got underway against Boavista , at Pinhal on Wednesday 7th July.
Our team consisted of Ernie Johnston, Gunnar Bergquist, Nina Barker, Noor Thorup, Michael Dickson, Fraser Graham, Colin Fotheringham, Graham Parker, David Hughes and myself.
The course was in excellent condition, and my team were in great form and eager to play.
Boavista sent a strong team to test us, they are the current division one champions, and like us were eager to get the season started.
All the matches were very close and i’m pleased to say we came out winners, 3/12 to 1/12 . 7pts to 3pts .
I was extremely proud of the whole team and it was a very enjoyable day for us all.
Our first match and first victory under our belts, which made it all the more special.
Next fixture is away to Vila Sol on Tuesday 13th July.
