Amateur: Lara Gerhardsen and Alexander Amey win in Rheinblick
The Swiss Golf East Championship took place in neighbouring Germany on the weekend of 21 and 22 September 2024.
Lara Gerhardsen and Alexander Amey won the 2024 edition of the Swiss Golf East Championship, which took place on the course of the Golfclub Rheinblick. In a tournament reduced to two rounds due to the weather conditions (fog), the amateur from Breitenloo led from start to finish. With a total score of +7, she won by one stroke ahead of Selina Casal (Domat/Ems), who had an excellent second round in par, and four ahead of Anna Zollikofer (Waldkirch).
In the men's event, Alexander Amey (Portugal, -4) finished one shot ahead of one of the men in form this summer, Bernese Alexander Brand, while Til Cavegn (Schinznach Bad) and Noé Campana (Limpachtal) shared third place at -2. Alexander Amey made the difference by returning a magnificent first card of 67 (-5) marked by six birdies and one eagle.
For their part, Jörgen Keller (Markgräflerland, par) and Benedikt Goldkamp (Rheinblick, +15) achieved the best scores in the 25+ and 50+ categories.
